Standalone software for converting QuarkXPress documents. QuarkXPress itself does not have to be present. Various export formats (IDML, PDF, TIF, etc.) and the possibility of opening documents directly in other programs (InDesign, Affinity Publisher, Adobe Acrobat) make this software an all-round tool. Available as an annual license (including all updates) or as an endless license (without updates).
QXPMarkz: Conversion of QuarkXPress documents for Mac
Without XPress: Conversion of QXP files to IDML, InDesign, Affinity Publisher etc.
QXPMarkz replaces the InDesign plug-in Q2ID
QXPMarkz is the most versatile conversion solution for QuarkXPress documents. As standalone software, it does not require a license from XPress in order to convert a document. The software also replaces the “Q2ID” plug-in for InDesign, which previously enabled conversion to XPress. QXPMarkz is more versatile and no longer tied to a specific software. These are the options:
- QXPress> IDML
- QXPress> PDF
- QXPress> TIF, PNG, JPG, GIF
Using QXPMarkz, native XPress documents can be opened directly in Affinity Publisher, InDesign, Illustrator or other programs. The texts can also be exported directly from the document as RTF, HTML or TXT files. In this way, for example, the text portion can easily be extracted and used for new purposes.
Attention: This version is for Mac!
Without QuarkXPress
Open QuarkXPress documents without QuarkXPress? That works with QXPMarkz. The conversion software opens any XPress documents, creates a preview of all pages and then offers an export option in various formats.
QXPMarkz immediately lists all elements and gives some information about the document. Together with the preview of all pages, this is almost like mini-preflighting. If fonts or images are missing, this is indicated immediately. A visual check based on the preview images does not reveal any details, but it is particularly helpful that this can be done without XPress.
Convert standing sentence
QXPMarkz is a tool for the one-time conversion of XPress documents. For example, if you switch from QuarkXPress to Affinity Publisher or another software, you can immediately convert original XPress documents.
When an XPress file is opened, QXPMarkz immediately provides a preview – based on the document content. This also works if no XPress license is installed. This gives you visual feedback on the content, plus some facts about fonts, number of pages, integrated images and the like. The document can then be exported in one of many formats and (for example with Affinity Publisher) opened directly in the target software.
